Below you will find a list of scholarships that we’ve stumbled across that are specifically designed for seminarians. As you probably know by now, scholarships are hard to come by for seminarians. While we try to compile some of the ones we’ve found, honestly, the best place to start is with your seminary. Almost every seminary has multiple scholarships available exclusively for their students. So, be sure to check your seminary’s website or financial aid office. That said, here are some scholarships we’ve come across:
- Logos Seminary Scholarship – They give away $1,000 every quarter and all you have to do is watch a 9 minute commercial about their software. Why wouldn’t you enter?

Hello I received a calling from God to enter Seminary school. I’ve been accepted to Ashland. I’m looking for scholarships to help pay my tuition. Can anyone assist me?
Hello,
I am in my first year of seminary in Kansas City at Midwestern Seminary (SBC). I am using student student loans currently and I DO NOT want to take out loans next semester. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.
God Bless,
Robert H.
Robert,
Hello, brother. I have taken a couple classes at MBTS but have settled into SBTS in Louisville. It is a good thing you do not want to go further into debt to get your master’s. I myself am dealing with the same problems you are. My family now makes less money than we did before we had children and we just found out that we are expecting our 5th (in 5 years). Needless to say, I have had to slow down in my degree seeking. I am only taking one or two classes depending on what time and money will allow.
The questions you need to ask are what does my family think (especially if you have a spouse), can I work and attend seminary full time or do I need to reduce my work load, and is this really the right time to be in seminary. These are tough questions and they need to be asked and prayed through especially if it means making hard decisions so that you do not go further into debt.
I hope that helps some.

The only question is not whether you have deemed it is a good time or not but rather has the Lord called you to go. If not then now or later you should not waste the time. If so then have faith the Lord will work out the details in His sovereign wisdom and be obedient to the call.

Haha nice joke Ryan. Anyway, A scholarship is hard to come by, that first fact is true especially for seminary students. It would not hurt to try to apply for one though. I was applying to several scholarship already and I don’t have any results yet. But I am going to keep trying for sure until I get what I wanted. That is the spirit.
