Aberdeen University was the proud host of this year’s International Organization for the Study of the Old Testament (IOSOT). The 23rd congress of this event was held August 4-9, 2019 in Scotland’s famous “Granite City,” so named for the granite used to construct many of the buildings in this old and stoic metropolis. In the photoessay below, I’ve attempted to bring the experience of IOSOT 2019 to you, the reader, by capturing key moments from the event and iconic images from the city.

Beautiful and interesting pictures. I wonder about topics that were discussed.
Thank you, Yolanda. You can find some of the topics listed online at the event site, I believe: https://www.abdn.ac.uk/events/conferences/iosot/programme.php.
