Logos-6-launch-Logos-6-Is-Here-Header-640x280Logos Bible Software is committed to advancing the cause of biblical scholarship. One of the primary ways that we do that is by creating powerful software that delivers insight. This new release builds upon Logos 4 and 5 with new tools designed to help you share your insight with others.

Logos 6 contains many new features that can help academics dig deeper into the biblical text in order to deliver insight to their students and colleagues.

TextVariantsThousands of variants exist across the Bible—from word choice to spelling differences to omissions, the new Textual Variants tool lets you quickly explore the textual differences across ancient Bible translations. Explore commentaries, original manuscripts, modern Bible translations, and ancient versions that help you dig deeper into the biblical text.

Get a clear view of the Bible’s background by exploring ancient texts side by side with Scripture. Gain a better understanding of biblical nuances and languages—along with the historical and social context—by comparing biblical passages with ancient literature. The Ancient Literature feature reveals shared language, ideas, and meaning across Scripture.

Better understand scriptural truth by understanding the culture from which it was written. The new Cultural Concepts tool identifies over 1,000 cultural concepts across the Bible, like religious activities, food, music, birth and death practices, marriage rituals, and economic structures, so you can derive greater meaning from the Bible. In seconds, explore all the CulturalConceptscultural concepts expressed in a passage, then connect those concepts to ancient texts.

Search all your scholarly journals at once. The Journal Section is a new section in the Passage Guide and Sermon Starter Guide that lists relevant scholarly articles pulled from
journals across your library. Connect your search queries to the latest theological discoveries and to insights from today’s leading scholars.

Do smarter word studies with the revised Sense Section. Search one word and get a comprehensive list of that word’s senses (or alternate meanings), where they appear in Scripture, and how frequently they’re used. Better understand ancient colloquial phrases and biblical languages, so you can derive greater meaning from Scripture.

These are only a fraction of the new features and datasets in Logos 6 and for a limited time we are placing all of our new Logos 6 base packages on sale for 15% off! Visit our Logos 6 comparison page and pick up the right base package for you.
